Elafonisi island is located near the southeastern point of Chania perfecture (and of Crete of course), almost 43 kilometers from Kastelli and about 75 km from the capital of the prefecture, Chania. It is regarded as one of the most beautiful Greek regions – with white sand beaches that in many places get pink from the thousands of crushed shells that give a different look to the beach. The waters are crystal clear and the blue-green color will “bear” images of an exotic paradise.
